NELSON PIQUET JR, CLAW MONEY AND ALPINESTARS LAUNCH POST RACE CHARITY AUCTION TO RAISE MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS.
On Saturday October 6th, Alpinestars athlete Nelson Piquet Jr. took on the NASCAR Truck series contenders at the Talladega Superspeedway in a specially designed truck and race suit. Crafted by legendary NY based female graffiti artist Claw Money, the bold pink and black truck and suit were created as a fusion of art and racing but more importantly to raise awareness for breast cancer.
To support the project, special edition T shirts, caps and1:24th scale die cast models of the Claw truck were created. The products are now available for sale in limited quantities through two separate auctions with all proceeds going directly to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Additionally, Nelson has donated the actual hood of the #30 truck raced at Talladega… battle scars and all. The hood and a selection of items are available through “ebay giving.”
Next week, the remaining items are available through NASCAR’s online auction site here:
The ebay auction is now live and will continue for the next 2 weeks. The Nascar auction site auction will being next week. All proceeds from items sold will be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundations.
