We will discuss 8 trailing stops today.

What do we mean by trail? Trailing means
that your stop loss is to follow your price
movements as close as possible when it rides
up a trend.

This is to prevent any sudden market movements
from taking out your profits should the trend
starts to reverse.

8 Trailing Stops Explained

1. N Bar/Candles Trailing Stop ($77)

Using the high and low of the last N closed bar/candle,
stop loss are shifted to these levels trailing
price and ensuring profits are locked in. Default
value for N is 2, this can be changed according
to your preference.

2. Moving Average Trailing Stop ($77)

Moving average indicator is most common used
for trailing stop loss.

3. Average True Range Trailing Stop ($77)

Also called ATR indicator. This indicator is
mostly used by turtle traders or trend following
traders to determine market volatility and place
their stop loss away from volatitily and protecting
their profits at the same time.

4. Parabolic SAR Trailing Stop ($77)

Another indicator widely used for placing your
stop loss.br>
5. Equity Trailing Stop ($77)

User will be able to specify their risk per trade
and stop loss can be trailed according to N pips
away from market price. (N pips = risk specified)

6. Channel Trailing Stop ($77)

Also a commonly used trailing stop technique for
turtle traders or trend following traders.

7. N pip Trailing Stop ($77)

This is an enhanced version trailing stop found
in metatrader trading platform. It ensures that
your stop loss is trailed specified amount of pips
away from the last closed price.

8. BB Trailing Stop ($77)

This is called the Big Bullish or Big Bearish
candle trailing stop. When a bullish candle is
closed (buy trade), difference in closed price
and opened price is determined and stop loss is
shifted up by amount of pip equivalent to the
difference. A bearish candle applies for sell trade.
