The closing of our Uganda program has us reflective. We're thankful for how much lasting good happened in the lives of the amazing women there, and we want to make sure you're hearing their stories.

Stories like Aboki Mirriam's.

Mirriam comes off as shy at first, but she’s silly, sweet, has a contagious smile, and is an incredibly skilled artisan. She graduated from 31 Bits two years ago and started a small business in Gulu.

Unfortunately, she had a tough time getting it going. Through our post-graduation mentoring, we decided it would be best to bring Mirriam back in the program while we helped her develop a new business concept. So she’s currently working on plans for a walk-up stand selling roasted pork near her village, where there is a demand for more restaurant-style shops.

Development work isn’t one size fits all, and it begins with real relationships. As we continue to pursue those throughout the world, it's been your support of our brand that has allowed us to partner with women like Aboki Mirriam, and to pursue more elsewhere.

So once again, thank you. If you want to hear more stories like Aboki Mirriam's make sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook, where we're telling a few more of them. Also, it's not too late to continue your support of our work by shopping the Uganda Collection before it's gone for good.
