a little more insight into our sizing process
& archival textile use:

from design to release, every ace&jig style takes about a year to create. we began working on our Spring/Summer ‘20 collection in May of 2019. our fitting process involves fitting every single size we add, in every style, on multiple individuals, many times. we are constantly reviewing our grade rules and fits and we never simply grade up from a straight size. we rely on and benefit greatly from the input we get from our team of fit models and consultants, our survey, and customers.
our goal is to ultimately offer every style in additional sizing.

in Fall/Winter ‘18, we released our first 3 styles in additional sizing. every season since, the percentage of styles available in additional sizing has grown. as of today, 55% of our Spring/Summer ‘20 collection will be available in additional sizing.

as we move into our Fall/Winter ‘20 season,  70% of our styles are currently being developed and fit in additional sizing. this is a journey of learning and continually striving to improve; we are dedicating the resources that we have to making it happen. this is a priority for us. we share some of this process on our saved IG highlight titled "fit story".

regarding our archival textiles: we have limited amounts of these fabrics, only what is left from the season when we first created them. in keeping with our commitment to reduce textile waste, we were able to use some of these leftover textiles in an assortment of our summer styles. for each style, we selected the textiles we felt would best suit the style. to us, every ace&jig textile and style is beloved!
our hope is that every piece is cherished and worn for many years.

these archival pieces are of limited quantity since they are made of this leftover cloth. going forward, we will be sure to only offer archival textiles in styles with additional sizing.
we appreciate your feedback!

our Spring/Summer ‘20 season was mid-production when our entire operation had to close due to Covid.  therefore, you may notice that some styles in this summer assortment have lower quantities across the board. this is the beginning of our necessary shift toward making less.
