Two good sample sales this weekend. There’s Tangerine’s (616 Lorimer, March 15 and 16, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), which will have discounted Nu Swim, Coming of Age, and Santangelo. Get a Nu Swim sweater. Then there’s Eckhaus Latta’s (611 Broadway, Third Floor, March 15 and 16, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.).
Strat writer Erin Schwartz was looking for flat-weave rugs on Etsy when they noticed a curious niche: “There are tons of dupes of rugs by mid-century female Scandinavian textile artists on there. Many are tagged Marianne Richter, which has become a weird erroneous catchall — this ‘Richter-inspired’ rug is actually a Ingegerd Silow dupe, and this one is based on a rug by Barbro Nilsson.”
