To show the world the impressive performance of Audi TDI clean diesel, we sent the Audi A6,
A7 and Q5 TDI vehicles and several journalists on a cross-country road trip from Los Angeles to New York in 48 hours.
During the 2,850-mile journey, all three vehicles drove an average of 62 mph and used four tanks of gas.
Not only did the journalists in the Audi A6 make it in less than 48 hours, they actually achieved better mpg
than the impressive EPA estimates, improving by 50% over its overall fuel economy.1
See the results of all three vehicles here.
Audi engineers pride themselves on our Audi unrivaled fit and finish.
But what exactly does this involve? It means perfecting every gap and every seam, down to tenths of a millimeter.
It means using only the finest materials, including leather that can withstand 45 rigorous tests.
It means ensuring that every nut, bolt and stitch has purpose, and everything must be 110% precision before it can bear the four rings.
At the biggest car show in the world, we decided to focus on the road ahead, debuting two new concept vehicles.
The Audi Sport quattro® is a plug-in hybrid coupe honoring the 30th anniversary of the original Sport quattro all-wheel drive.
Built in just five weeks, the vehicle emphasizes the latest technology from Audi, while the new Audi Nanuk quattro® gives
the sports car genre an off-road capability that lets it handle almost any terrain. Also on display were redesigned Audi
A8 and S8 models with new styling and wheels to complement their progressive design.
What Audi engineers do for driving, the designers behind Forza Motorsport™ 5 do for gaming.
Which is to say, push everything to its limit. Now you can race the Audi of your dreams in one of the most popular racing
series in history, including the new Audi RS 7, which graces the Limited Edition cover. You can also take the wheel of the RS 3,
TT RS, R18 e-tron® quattro® and
Audi R8 V10. It’s like a virtual test-drive at 100+ mph. Forza Motorsport 5 is available for pre-sale now.
Arriving this fall, the Audi RS 7 is a dramatic expression of luxury, power and design.
In fact, its thunderous 560-hp 4.0-liter turbocharged Audi direct-injection TFSI® V8
engine makes it the most powerful RS model ever offered in the U.S. Add a dramatic sloping roof and RS 7 gives new meaning to the
words “performance art.”
