Over the last year, as I've contemplated bringing Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store together, I've spent a great deal of time talking to customers, store associates, vendors, and industry partners. I've visited stores, reviewed research, studied the competition, and listened carefully to what people had to say. 
 
What I heard was remarkably consistent. Customers love The Container Store. They love the products, the solutions, and the service. But many customers—and many long-term associates—felt that too many of the prices had become difficult to justify. 
 
After spending time studying the business, I came to the same conclusion. 
 
Customers work too hard for their money, and their homes are too important, for us not to get this right. 
 
That's why we challenged ourselves, our vendors, and our assumptions. The result is that beginning today, we are resetting prices across thousands of The Container Store products. These changes will continue to roll out in stores and online. This is not a promotion, a temporary sale, or a marketing event. It is a deliberate reset designed to better align our pricing with the value our customers deserve.  
 
As I looked at the assortments across Bed Bath & Beyond and The Container Store, I became convinced that these businesses belonged together. Both brands are built on quality products, practical solutions, and helping customers create better homes. What excited me most was the opportunity to prove that quality and affordability can exist together and that customers should never have to choose between the two. 
 
Going forward, value will be our standard. Every product we offer should deliver quality, functionality, and a fair price. I will not tolerate anything less because our customers deserve nothing less.
