We were on our team call earlier this week, trying to figure out if any of us knew the actual reasoning for the extra day in a Leap Year. None of us knew 😂
According to NASA, even though the world operates on a 365 day calendar, it actually takes the Earth 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds to orbit the sun ☀️ That extra 6-ish hours doesn’t just disappear, we tack it on as an extra 24-hour day every 4 years to make sure the calendar stays in sync.
