Try This Better Way to Beat a Bad Sunburn

This weekend, use a cool compress to take the “ouch” out of an uncomfortable sunburn.

Sometimes, despite our best intentions, a long day in the sun results in a painful, bright-red sunburn. Soothe the burn with a cool compress, like bag of frozen veggies wrapped in a dishtowel or a wet washcloth. Avoid putting ice directly on the burn, since it can damage skin and even cause frostbite.

Spending time in the sun can cause wrinkles and other forms of skin damage

Friday Review

This week, we recommended working out to maintain a sunny disposition, passing on gummy vitamins, eating colorful fruits and veggies for sun protection, using beeswax candles in the bedroom, and treating sunburn with a cool compress. How many healthy choices were you able to make this week?
