Billionaire Boys Club was launched in 2005 by Grammy-Award winning musician Pharrell Williams and Nigo, a Japanese DJ and style icon. The brand was launched alongside footwear brand Ice Cream and was produced in Japan in limited runs.
Williams conceived the brand while watching a film by the same name; it was originally a story of corruption, but Williams turned BBC into a positive brand, reminding people that wealth is of the heart and mind, too.
In 2011, the legendary Jay-Z and retail giant Rocawear partnered with BBC. This year, the brand celebrated its tenth anniversary and boasts collaborations with Palladium, Mark McNairy, Timberland, Barneys, UNKNWN, Michael Kagan, Despicable Me, Sponge Bob and many more.
