Do you want to add a touch of adventure to a classic wedding look?
Your bridal bouquet can be transformed into a striking accessory without detracting from the tradition or symbolism. Try weaving pieces of fabric from your wedding dress into the flowers or choose an unexpected color to offset the neutral tones of your gown. (We recommend a black-red or deep purple stem as we love the theatricality of these colors.) Channeling your adventurous or theatrical side in this way is a modern approach to a classic element of a bride’s ensemble.— XO, Vera
Vera at the 2013 Met Gala
Vera Wang and Kerry Washington, in a custom Vera Wang gown, dazzled on the red carpet at the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit last week. Kerry, who was featured on Harper Bazaar’s Best of the Met Gala’s Red Carpet List, wore a sleeveless V-neck lavender metallic floral print mermaid gown with bubble lace veiled decolletage, silk and lace flange detail at the train and a chrysanthemum lace peplum accent. She accessorized her look with a pair of black hand-stitched opera-length lamb skin gloves. Get a closer look at Vera Unveiled.
