I'm writing this from my holidays in sunny and very hot Italy, its been gloriously wholesome. We're here visiting dear friends which is a medley of home away from home, raising and loving our children together, fun, play and that connection that comes with doing life together.
On Tuesday, I delivered a session for
Allbright, I currently have an in-person 'Career Accelerate' cohort , where we meet monthly in the Townhouse in Mayfair, London. As well as virtual cohort where we meet fortnightly online which thankfully allows me to do what I did this week in jumping online to work in the midst of holidaying.
In this week's chapter we focused on 'Presenting your value'. Its the sweet spot for me, helping these amazing humans realise their amazingness whilst teaching them how to create a story from it which forms the fabric of a memorable and stand-out personal brand. In addition to gathering together the quantitative facts, figures, numbers and stats to demonstrate what they bring.
Its the beautiful intersection of my 20 year corporate marketing career and current coaching practice. Its an inner and outer job and I love taking people through it. Every person left the session with not just a new understanding of their value (learning their value) but also the words to practically apply it (communicate their value) and increased confidence in doing so (embodying their value).
Dancing with visibility
I've talked here about my changing relationship with visibility over the last few years as my personal life shape-shifted. I'm solar powered and there's definitely a flip that has switched with the incoming Vitamin D that has helped me feel a return to being me in a more public way. A similar but different me. More grounded, less wobbly sense of self and more perspective and less holding on tightly. A result of a calm nervous system which has made way for a peaceful home, full heart and nourished soul.
Its led to me assigning myself a mini-challenge of showing-up daily throughout August.
I know myself and my life and so giving it all a helping hand by baking in flexibility to hit either 'good, better or best' each day.
'Good' looks like showing-up on Facebook or Instagram Stories.
'Better' looks like showing-up here in the newsletter, on the Instagram grid or LinkedIn.
'Best' looks like showing up on at least 2 of the above to incl one of Better and one from Good.
All implemented in a non-overthinking, delightfully imperfect, growth over grind, let's have some fun and share wha gwan kinda way whilst keeping myself accountable, focussed and committed.
