Its hard when there is something you want to do but life isn't giving you the space to do it.
That's how I've felt over the last few years. I love learning and since doing my NLP, Hypnotherapy certification back in 2016 amidst setting up my business, working with clients and growing my family, the opportunity to embark on anything else felt a million miles away from possible. Then Marley hit toddler-dom and even though she STILL wasn't sleeping (thankfully she is now!) I booked myself onto doing some additional coach training.
There were many reasons I wanted to do it.
A desire to be in study/training mode again being right up there, I mean podcasts and books are great but they can only take you so far. Another reason was getting my full ICF accreditation which I'm not ashamed to say was really important to me. And then of course there was the opportunity to extend and update my coaching skills.
Over the last 9 months I am sooo pleased to be able to say I have been doing all of this.
Whilst it hasn't always been easy, the juggle of business, life, lockdown 3.0 and homeschooling is real! It has been life-changing and hands-down one of the best decisions I have made.
And the honest truth is that I have loved every minute of it.
I chose Kudzi Coaching Academy which is headed up by the wonderful and hugely experienced Ruth Kudzi and she's gone above and beyond with what she has offered.
Not only does their coaching diploma give you full ICF ACTP accreditation but they have put things in there that far supersede what the ICF require.
From going deep on Positive Psychology and Neuroscience to my absolute fave…Transactional Analysis. So much so that I am considering taking the TA study further and deeper in the future.
Not to mention the mentoring support. The 2 individual sessions (I have 1 more to come..hurrah) I've had with my assigned mentor have literally changed everything for me and to have those sessions with her would cost ££££.
So why am I sharing this with you?
- The training I've been doing has made an impact on me (hello personal development on tap) and on my coaching practice. Since the start of the year I've only been taking Pure Coaching Private Clients and I'm currently fully booked until June.
It has profoundly influenced the way I do and will continue to do things going forward. I have so much to share with you on this and look forward to doing so. Let's just say, I feel a new lease of energy, excitement and enthusiasm for the coaching space and the mark I want to make in my own way.
My mission of making the personal development/ wellness/ entrepreneurship space for the many and not the few has been given a boost of rocket fuel!
