Every year in January i choose a word that will be my guiding star of the year - in 2020 this word was JOY. Looking back to 2020, Joy is not the first word that comes to your mind.
Yet, I have to say, despite all emotional, personal and financial challenges, there have been many moments of joy, that would have never happened if we had had a "normal" year. Moments of calm and quietness in nature, moments of togetherness and support, moments with friends on Zoom who we had not seen in years, moments we cherished more as they became more special. I am happy that I chose JOY as my guiding star because it reminded me from time to time to look at the year with different eyes as well.
I would love to thank you all for standing with us during 2020! I know it has been hard for many of you, especially also for our people in Morocco and Ethiopia the situation sometimes got really threatening.
