Painful Journeys

Dear Mr

Age UK has found that 1.45 million people aged over 65 find it ‘difficult or very difficult’ to travel to hospital appointments.

For most of us having a hospital appointment is enough to worry about, but imagine how it feels for people like Connie who have to wait up to two hours after an exhausting round of chemotherapy before they are taken home.

This is the reality for many of the people we have heard from, and it isn't good enough. Despite the fact that this is a problem for so many older people and their loved ones, not many politicians are aware of this issue. We really need your help to put it on their radar.

Write to your MP to raise your concerns, and ask them to write to the Philip Dunne MP, the Minister responsible for patient transport.
