How was the Art Nouveau collection for Harrods born ?
 
 
We were initially inspired by the magnificent bottles that the Alexandre.J house created for this collection. Then the goal was to be inspired by the era itself, using materials and fragrances from the beginning of the century.
The juices are at the same time classic, original and tenacious.
 
 
For you, what are the most representative notes of the Art Nouveau period ?
 
 
We reinvented the notes of the belle époque while working around clear notes with a floral trend. We worked around floral notes such as jasmine, rose, patchouli, tonka that we worked in the manner of the belle époque.
 
 
What is the message behind each creation ?
 
 
We wanted to create unique, addictive fragrances. The goal was to sublimate the raw materials of the time to make us travel back in time.
 
 
How is this collection different from the others ?
 
 
Art Nouveau is the richest collection in terms of raw materials and olfactory construction. We really wanted the richness of the bottles to be felt in the juices.
 
 
What personality would you associate with each of the perfumes in the collection ?
 
 
• Black Beetle was made for people with strong character and rather bold and exhuberant.
• Imperial Peacock is made for people who are avant-garde
• Ode to rose for elegant and mysterious people
• Oriental Enigma for very modern personalities
 
 
How does Alexandre J manage to keep an identical olfactory signature with each new launch ?
 
 
We want to create perfumes around the great raw materials of perfumery, while traveling through the different olfactory families.
 
 
How do you feed your creativity ?
 
 
Our creativity is renewed and inspired by the new raw materials presented to us by our sources.
We are constantly looking for new combinations, while respecting the raw materials. We adapt to the personality and soul of the artistic director with whom we work and try to create a favorite.
