this is messy.

Learning is messy.

When do we forget this?

I don't know.

We grow to think learning should be clean. Even worse, we think something is wrong if learning isn't clean.

Kids.

Kids remind you how messy learning is.

They fall when they're learning how to walk. They feed fountains of food to the air when they're learning how to use a spoon. They can't even keep their saliva in their mouths.

No one enjoys the mess.

No one likes seeing their kid's cheek crash into hardwood floor. No one likes seeing their kid use sweet potatoes as shampoo.

But.

Mess is mandatory.

If you wait until you won't make a mess, you might be too late.

May the Gains be with you,
Ant
