Monthly Newsletter

Hello, and happy May!

It's been a while since our last newsletter, so we'll cover the improvements from the first half of 2024.

inFlow got a speed boost, a Document Designer, file attachments, barcoding improvements, and automatic exchange rates!

Oh, and we had a great chat about barcodes with the director of GS1 US on our podcast. ✨

inFlow just got faster
We're excited to announce that inFlow got a speed boost!

Your experience may vary depending on the size of your database, but here are highlights from our own testing:

• Scanning in the mobile app is 2x faster
• Saving products is 2x faster on our Smart Scanner
• Loading a product list with 50,000 records was 30% faster in our web app
• A sales report with 50,000 products ran 43% faster in our web app

All inFlow customers should feel these improvements on mobile. However, web app performance for Enterprise customers will remain the same since premium databases are already optimized for larger orders and product quantities.

Customize sales and purchase docs
If you've ever tried to create your own custom documents in Word, you know how much of a pain it can be.

That's why our new Document Designer lets you lay out your own documents with a simple drag and drop interface. It works on all of your purchase and sales documents in inFlow, and you can learn more about it in this blog post.

File attachments and multiple barcodes
Want to add a PDF to a sales order for easy referencing? Or attach a picture to a product's bill of materials? We're excited to announce that you can now attach files to almost any type of record in our web app!

We've also made a number of improvements to barcoding in inFlow. You can add multiple barcodes to a product, scan more easily from the web app, and generate internal barcodes that meet GS1 standards.

Automatic exchange rates + List sorting
inFlow can automatically pull in exchange rates for orders that use a foreign currency. We use data from Open Exchange Rates to provide the latest mid-market rate.

We also released some quality-of-life changes for lists in inFlow. You can now sort by a column header, reorder line items, and use one click to open a product record in a new tab.

Discussing Supply Chains with GS1
Earlier this April, Jared was joined by Jonathan Gregory, the Director of GS1 US. They chatted about logistics, the importance of standardization, and the future of barcodes and RFIDs.

You can listen to the episode on Spotify, but we'd recommend viewing it on YouTube so you can enjoy the animations that really bring the info to life.

Thanks for catching up on the latest and greatest in inFlow.

We'll be back soon!
