Since October I have been working day and night in order to populate my store on Etsy and my own shop.
I have heard coaches and people in the industry telling newbies not to start your own store, until you have an inventory.
I get it
But
then I dont get it really...
If you are going forward with a vision that you are in it to win it , you are doing this with a greater vision you MUST have a plan.
It might look like...
I am starting with 10 products , I will get to 100 then I will slowly start building my own website.
I am starting with 1 Product , and I am inviting people into my email list so later once my website is up I have enough people I can promote it to.
This idea of just get into it ,
churn out unlimited products for Etsy, then , once you have enough sales then think about your own website doesn't hit home for me.
From Day 1 have a vision for your creative journey
have at least a story that you are playing.
If you are thinking somewhere in the back of your mind that I will start my Etsy shop with one listing and take it to 100 and then see how this goes... then my friend, I hate to break it to you but dont even think about starting a business.
I have spent 20 years selling digital products online. This is a proof that you have to be dedicated.
During these 20 years I have nearly closed my Etsy store 5-7 times and then built it again.
Was I right in doing so ?
Maybe not ....
But it took me many failed attempts to finally make it to finish line, which shows me the next finish line again.....
Think about it......
As I re-build my Etsy shop with new products, I am slowly adding them to my own website too.
