Now, it’s time to apply those learnings.

If you don’t already have an email marketing platform, you’re going to need one for this lesson.

Remember the emails you worked on in the homework sections of each email? It’s time to send one of them. If your dog, ferret or Roomba ate your homework, I suggest going back to a prior email and completing (um… I mean re-doing) the homework. 😉

Let's get right to it!

Take action! Here's your homework:

  • Copy the content from one of the draft emails from a previous homework section from this course. Choose an email that’ll help you reach your goals. (1 minute)
  • Select a pre-designed template in your email marketing platform and create a draft email. Paste your content into this email. (5 minutes)
  • Identify a segment of your list to send the email to (or send the email to your entire list). (3 minutes)
  • Refer back to the email editorial calendar you created in lesson 5. Schedule your email to send on a day that aligns with your editorial calendar. (5 minutes)
That’s it! Once your email is sent, wait 48 hours and then review your email analytics, like open rates and click-through rates.

Then, continue sending regular, valuable content. That’s the best way to see success with email marketing!
