The late Thich Nhat Hanh was a renowned Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, teacher, author, and peace activist. During the Vietnam War, he was exiled from his native country for advocating nonviolent resistance to opposition forces.

In 1966, he founded the Van Hanh Buddhist University in Saigon and later established the Plum Village International Meditation Center in France.

His teachings have influenced many Westerners, including Jon Kabat-Zinn, who is considered one of the leading figures in the mindfulness movement. In this special tribute, Kabat-Zinn will share his personal memories of Thich Nhat Hanh and explore the ways in which his teachings have impacted our lives.
