Is this your brand on Milled? You can claim it.

It All Begins With Recycled Glass

IT ALL BEGINS WITH RECYCLED GLASS

There’s something life affirming (and spring affirming) about forcing dormant branches into beautiful bloom, and the process couldn’t be simpler.

Select A Sturdy Vessel

1.
Begin by selecting
a sturdy vessel

like our hand-blown recycled European glass jar. Inspired by mason jars used during harvest, this large scale jar features unique characteristics and imperfections.

Choose Your Branches

2.
Choose Your Branches

Woodsy branches like forsythia, dogwood, cherry, and quince are ideal. Use pruners to cut the branches to your desired length, then make small slits on the bottom with clippers or scissors to increase water absorption.
Add Stone Frogs

3.
Add stone frogs to the bottom of the jar

to keep tall branches weighted, balanced, and firmly in place. Or place one of our new brass frogs on top of a smaller vessel (like our new Ikebana vase or a Mason jar) and insert branches into the holes.

Fill the vessel with cold water

Then watch branches root, grow, and in about 2 weeks, burst into bloom.
