Another month, another heatwave - we hope you've been enjoying the Indian Summer we've been experiencing these last few days!
In this month's newsletter we've got an update on our large Weather Clocks, advice on hanging your clock and the story behind the peacock (called Irvine) on our Bramwell Brown logo!
Update on Large Weather Clocks...
A quick update on our Large Weather Clocks. We're currently out of stock on our Large Weather Clocks, in the three different frame colours. Whilst we'll have a very small number built by the end of the month, we know this won't cover current demand. It's looking likely that only at the end of October, we might have stock again to satisfy pent up demand. Please sign up to alerts via the green tab on the Large Weather Clock product page which will update you when we next have stock. Thank you for bearing with us!
One question we often get asked is what is the best way to hang your Bramwell Brown Clock? We already include a really handy template to help position your clock on the wall and hang with ease but sometimes it's easier to watch someone else doing it! So take a look at our step-by-step guide and once on the wall, your clock can be admired by everyone who sees it!
Our Peacock logo or 'Irvine' as we have come to refer to him as, was initially chosen to reflect a number of things we feel are important aspects of Bramwell Brown. To us, Peacocks have always seemed quite old fashioned, British eccentric animals to have around. Our mascot 'Irvine', to us, represents a slightly barmy but very distinguished gentlemen with style, sophistication but an appealing modesty! Did you know that just like our Weather Clocks, a Peacock's calls are believed to forecast the onset of rain. Even the poet Michael Drayton (1536-1631) wrote about the strutting Peacock 'yowling 'gainst the rain.' We're as proud as a Peacock to have 'Irvine' as our Bramwell Brown logo! We hope you like him as much as we do!
