Our Weather Clocks have been forecasting stormy skies this month after not one, but two big storms here in the UK. Read on to find out how to predict a storm with the changes in air pressure!
Wild Weather
Our 'Into The Wild' Weather Clock seems appropriate for this month. Illustrated by Josh Patterson, the beautiful images depict the rugged landscapes of the great outdoors and this month we have frequently seen the stormy scenes.
Predict A Storm With Air Pressure
When cold air encounters warm air, the warm air can rise, reducing the air pressure at ground level. As a result, a low pressure system forms and winds begin to blow. Storms are associated with an extremely fast drop in air pressure to very low levels, meaning our Weather Clocks rarely show their ‘Stormy’ setting because the pressure has to drop so fast to do so.
Interior Inspiration
As ever, we love to see your pictures and the different interior ideas of where to hang our Weather Clocks especially as it's the season to stay indoors!
