1. Canicatti Nero d’Avola Sicilia IGP La Ferla (1586) x 1 ABV 13.5%

Grape(s): 100% Nero d’Avola

Area: From vineyards around the town of Canicatti on the Southern coast of Sicily.

Sicily can make great wines, simple honest wines and everything in between if it so chooses. The Canicatti winery with its new winemaker and recently installed state of the art equipment is making all this happen. A delicious berry fruit flavour with a distinct richness of tone. Good length on the finish and certain softness.

2. Bodegas Campos Reales Tempranillo Joven La Mancha Gladium (5662) x 1 ABV 13%

Grape(s): 100% Tempranillo

Area: From vineyards around the town of El Provincio

La Mancha is a great source of excellent value for money wines as this wine from Tempranillo grape - best known in Rioja – illustrates. A lovely fruity, brambly nose. A ripe fruit flavour in the mouth and a lightly dry finish.

3. Moulin de Gassac Moulin de Gassac Guilhem Rouge (5143) x 1 13%

Grape(s): A typical Méditerranéen blend : 40% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 30% Carignan.

Region: IGP Pays d'Hérault

Aromatic complexity combining notes of red fruits and spices. Beautiful tannins melted. A fine wine with a long suave and slightly rustic length marked by the "Terroir".

4. Canicatti Inzolia Terre Siciliane IGP La Ferla (1584) x 1 ABV 12%

Grape(s): 100% Inzolia

Area: From vineyards around the town of Canicatti in southern Sicily.

Sicily has everything, the ideal climate, ideal land and stunning grapes. When a wine maker of talent such as the Canicatti winery puts all this together then excellent wine will follow. A firm, lovely soft flavour with tones of citrus. Full, rounded texture in the mouth that leaves a delicious crisp finish.

5. Allee Bleue Starlette Blanc (7200) x 1 ABV 13%

Grape(s): 63% Sauvignon Blanc 37% Chenin Blanc

Area: Franschhoek

This is from Franschhoek district in South Africa one of the oldest in the country and from a consistently good winery. Fruity with a touch of lychees on the nose and a lovely balance on the rounded, crisp palate.

6. Moulin de Gassac Guilhem Rosé IGP (5142) x 1 ABV 12%

Grape(s): 50% Syrah, 50% Carignan

Area: From vineyards around in the Thau Lagoon region

Vivid salmon colour with a fine nose of crushed red flowers, cherry and redcurrant. The light, refreshing palate is cooling, with lovely red apple skin and peach notes. Fruity but dry, with a crisp, lip-smacking finish.
