Thanks for you patience!

Hi, Monster Kids! Thanks for all your awesome messages over the past week - so many of you have made us feel so loved, and we’ll miss you all too. :)

Here are some updates for you:

Our last day will be February 23, 2020, 11:59pm PST. will no longer be accepting anymore orders after this date, or if stock clears out beforehand, whichever comes first. All orders placed through February 23rd will be fulfilled. We have spoken with many of you, and unfortunately items are quickly selling out. We encourage you to place your orders ASAP if you see something you like in our remaining stock.

As we’ve gone through the warehouse, we have found some remaining sizes in items we’ll be adding back to the store over the next few days, starting with some beanies. We suggest that you keep checking back as we continue to clear our warehouse.

Please note (as many of you have asked): We are sold out of any cover designs on black tees or black hoodies that are not currently on the store.

Thanks for all your patience and understanding as we continue through the closure process!

Shop now, don't snooze!

Captain Company is the official store of Famous Monsters of Filmland and American Gothic Press

Famous Monsters of Filmland (est. 1958) is the world’s longest running entertainment fan magazine. Credited as the original authority in what is known as geek/nerd culture today, Famous Monsters influenced an entire generation of monster fans who grew up to become Hollywood’s most recognized names: Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, Peter Jackson, Rick Baker, and many more. Today, the magazine enjoys worldwide distribution as an annual, and has expanded beyond the pages to include licensed products, comic books, designer apparel, an e-commerce division, and special events and conventions.

American Gothic Press, established in 2015, is a publishing imprint of Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine consisting of comic books in the Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror genres. Famous Monsters was the first entertainment fan magazine of its kind, and Editor Forrest J Ackerman was involved in the genesis of classic titles such as VAMPIRELLA. American Gothic Press marks Famous Monsters’ journey back to the creation of new worlds and characters. The imprint is host to a wide variety of original titles (KILLBOX, BROKEN MOON, MONSTER WORLD), creator-owned work (PROJECT NEMESIS, THIN) and licenses (IRWIN ALLEN’S LOST IN SPACE: THE LOST ADVENTURES).

Cosmic-Con® is the event division of Famous Monsters of Filmland®, the world’s longest running entertainment fan magazine (est. 1958). For years, Famous Monsters has brought fans of sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and pop culture together at events across the United States. Cosmic-Con, officially established in 2012, developed as a natural progression of Famous Monsters as a means to champion, promote, and foster fan gatherings, including the world-renowned San Diego Comic-Con International. The mission of Cosmic-Con is to partner with the biggest names in the entertainment industry to bring audiences experiences that are truly out of this world.
Captain Company® is the official online store of Famous Monsters of Filmland®, American Gothic Press™, and Cosmic-Con™. What began as a few simple black and white ads for monster masks in the back of the original Famous Monsters magazine has grown into a thriving e-commerce destination for apparel, collectibles, comics, posters, and more. Captain Company no longer carries genuine dirt from Dracula’s castle, but it still boasts a vast catalog of exclusive monster merchandise and vintage items.
