The Drop: A weekly update from charity: water during the coronavirus pandemic.
In our third issue of The Drop, you’ll hear about the power of trust, get to catch up on an exciting event, and discover a new way to go on a family adventure abroad—no travel required.

In this week’s Dispatch, Julia Gallus, one of our Water Programs Managers, shares about the power of trust and highlights an encouraging story from our local partner in Uganda.
"There is no training manual nor policy on trust. However, it is in times like this, times of crisis, when trust, which can be hard to quantify, has the most value.

Trust takes time to develop and grow, but is very powerful when leveraged."

Travel might be limited right now, but you can still visit countries around the world to see how charity: water donations are being put to work—and bring your whole family along for the ride.

The Journey is a video series we made to show the impact of The Spring, our monthly giving community. In Season One, you’ll follow Tyler, Head of Creative, on a trip to Cambodia, where BioSand Filters are giving families the ability to turn dirty water into clean water. Be sure to check out the worksheets, coloring pages, and activities for your whole family to enjoy in the Resources section!

Our monthly giving community, The Spring, is bringing clean water to people in places like Cambodia each and every month. Spring members also have access to exclusive content and special events, like monthly Good News emails, our first-ever book club for Thirst (charity: water founder Scott Harrison’s NYT Bestseller), and upcoming small group discussions with charity: water staff.

Want in? Join The Spring for as little as $5 each month!

Scott Harrison & Simon Sinek
Last Friday, bestselling author and longtime supporter Simon Sinek joined us on Instagram Live for a conversation with charity: water founder and CEO Scott Harrison. If you weren’t able to watch live, you can still see the whole conversation here!

Students at the Prey Romdeng Primary School in Cambodia were often sick due to a lack of both clean water and education about healthy hygiene habits. But not anymore! With a school WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) project made possible by supporters like you and our local partner Clear Cambodia, students have the access and knowledge they need to reinforce safe sanitation and hygiene practices at home and at school—a resource they can use to stay safe from the spread of COVID-19.
