Before her community received clean water, Honorine would wake up at 3 a.m. every morning to walk to a water source. But the water she spent so much time and effort collecting only made her and her family sick.
Everything changed when HELVETAS, one of our local partners, built a piped water system in Honorine’s community. With tap stands and clean water just steps away, she and her family started feeling better, and Honorine started thinking about opening a store and restaurant.
