Thanks to thousands of supporters like you, we’ve surpassed our goal to fund clean water for 20,000 people in Mali. But our local partners are prepared to serve even more communities. Every dollar you give will empower their work.

It’s a team effort

Guillaume and Karis are raising money for the September Campaign—and you can help!
Guillaume

Guillaume▸

Guillaume is a designer who currently lives and works in Switzerland. This isn’t the first time Guillaume has joined us as a fundraiser—he’s been donating his birthday for the past 10 years!
“I’m a September kid, and I’m more than OK giving up birthday gifts to help others. I want to use the attention people can give me for my birthday and turn it into two things. First, educate: to make people aware of the issues when it comes to access to clean water in various locations on Earth. Second, activate: to turn this attention into donations. People usually find the initiative and the cause noble and simple enough to have an impact.”

Karis

Karis▸

Karis and her husband Brett live in the Chicago suburbs with their four kids and two pets: Daisy the dog and Petunia the python. As an enthusiastic advocate for clean water, Karis saw the September Campaign as the perfect opportunity to get her friends and family involved in a cause she cares about.

“I am very passionate about getting clean water to everyone on the planet, so pretty much everyone who has spent a lot of time with me knows that this is something I care about and give money towards. I don’t typically ask people to contribute financially, but this campaign provides a good opportunity to get my friends and family involved. I believe it is our moral and ethical responsibility to see that everyone has access to clean water, and I hope to see that dream realized before I die.”

Bintou
As a landlocked country in the Sahel region of West Africa, Mali faces relentless heat and temperatures that are projected to increase 1.5x higher than the global average. In the desert, collecting water—dirty water that often makes families sick—is a toilsome and time-consuming task.

But with your support, our local partners are using innovative solutions to bring clean water directly to communities in rural Mali. Solar panels turn the blistering sun into an infinite power source capable of drawing cool, clean water to the surface from deep underground.
You can transform the future for families in rural Mali who’ve endured life without clean water for too long. As always, 100% of your gift will fund clean water.

This work is truly essential work—and we couldn’t do it without supporters like you. Thank you for choosing to be part of our charity: water community.
