Hey there! I'm teaming up with Chatbooks to give you tips on sleighing this holiday season. My new Lifetime movie Dear Christmas (premiering 11/27 @ 8/7c!) is about creative ways to connect in 2020, which is why I'm excited to share my secrets for making magic happen this Christmas.

The secret to getting a great family photo? Bribes! I always tell the kids that they can get a little gift if they don't make the holiday photo process a nightmare. If bribes aren't working, just lean into the craziness. We took photos at a farm one year, and I had one kid hanging off of a fence upside down, I think my husband is covering my eyes... and that photo is the one we wound up printing.

Is that sweat or holiday glitter? For holiday cards, take your pictures early. This year, we took ours in August. I try to get my cards in hand ASAP so that, when I send them out, I can be the first Christmas card in people's mailboxes. I also just want it done! I send out about 350 cards– basically everyone I've ever worked with gets one. It's nice to get it off my plate before the holidays really begin.

A rebel without a Clause | When the tree comes, the Elf on the SHelf comes. Actually, I should say elves because we have 3, one for each of my sons. I was told that don't just move around the house. They have snowball fights with marshmallows and end up in the toilet with chocolate kisses. I have a few Elf on the Shelf secrets, but you'll have to listen to my episode of The MomForce Podcast to hear them all!

Alarms are my love language | During the busy holiday season, I keep my calendar crazy organized and set a ton of alarms. I use different sounds for different sounds for different things, so for example, the whistle alarm means it's tutoring time and I use the dog bark alarm for when we need to get outside for the school bus. I don't even have to look at my phone to know what we're doing next.
