We're going to try and do something just for fun. Once a month we will try and create at least one Science News graphic, highlighting the most fascinating scientific breakthroughs as they appear in our feeds. This month, we're celebrating a groundbreaking achievement: a lab-grown human brain organoid, successfully integrated onto a microchip, demonstrated the ability to process, learn, and remember information. Impressively, it even performed basic speech recognition, analyzing 240 audio clips of eight individuals pronouncing Japanese vowels.
