Halloween Gift Card Contest Winners
The recent Gift Card contest was very interesting! Thank you for your submissions! The winners have each received a $10 Gift Card!
We asked, "When should Halloween be officially celebrated?" The People have spoken! Most of you would prefer to celebrate on Oct. 31, regardless of which day of the week it falls upon. Some of you wrote in 'Last Friday in October,' so we added that option to the results.
Here are a few of the winners' entries:
Shanell from Pleasant Hope, MO "My birthday is on OCTOBER 31st- Halloween! It should be on the day! Plan accordingly! :)"
Tammy from Finley, ND "On October 31st, of course!"
Nyki from Republic, PA "I definitely say last Saturday of October. No school on Saturdays so you have the whole day open!!"
Jody from Glen Mills, PA "October 31st of course!!"
Stephanie from Nazareth, PA "On the last Saturday in October, kind of like Thanksgiving! This is the day I will be celebrating Halloween this year since I have off on Sunday! "
Andrea from Smithtown, NY "On the last Saturday in October, kind of like Thanksgiving! Halloween is very big at our house. It is my son's most favorite holiday of the year. No effort, decoration, or activity is spared. If everyone's children are like my little guy, then parents know how hard it is to celebrate on a school night. Kids stay up late to go to a Halloween party, go trick or treating, go to a haunted house, and all of the above. Of course, how can you bring all those sweet treats home and not have any? So, now we have kids that are staying up way too late, eating way too much, are all sugared up, and unable to sleep. The next morning we have kids that are almost impossible to get out of bed. Oh, and forget about being productive in school the next day what so ever, not to mention the lack of productivity on Halloween day due to anticipation of the evening's activities. So yes, I definitely vote to celebrate Halloween on the last Saturday in October."
Congratulations to the winners, and thanks for entering our Gift Card contest!
