Cronycle product update #26 - Annotate newsletters, titles on notes, images in PDFs, help & bugs
CronycleApr. 21, 2022
We’re excited to tell you about more enhancements to the already powerful Cronycle platform. This is another issue filled with important updates, so let’s jump right in!
This Cronycle Product News bulletin was created and published using the integrated newsletter feature in Cronycle. We use our own platform to send you monthly news, product updates, and best practices to help you stay informed.
Process insights from newsletters
Newsletters have become an extremely popular way to deliver valuable information. But email are hard to process. Not anymore! We are currently updating and transforming the collection of insights from newsletters within Cronycle. This month we've updated how newsletters are saved so you can annotate them.
Newsletters are now saved as fixed text notes on your boards. This allows you to annotate them and extract useful sections as fully editable notes for your reports, or simply to copy, view in the insights view or export.
Last month, we described how notes are useful to extract insights and write your analysis. You can now add titles to notes. The title is used across all views, exports, copies and publishing.
Extract annotations as notes to prepare your analysis
Extracting several annotations from one or several pieces of content (article, PDF or email) is a great way to collect valuable insights.
We have added a button to Extract all annotations as a note from the content reader for any article, converted PDF or email. We'll continue adding this convenient option in a few more places in the coming weeks.
PDF conversion with images
Following work last month on converting PDFs to enable annotations, we're happy to announce that images are now extracted with the PDFs as well.
Other updates
Integrated tutorials
We've started adding guidance relevant to specific functionalities in repositionable windows within the platform.
We've added it first to a few filters, including the language filter: access it by clicking on Tutorial.
We'll continue rolling it out to other filters, and across the most complex functionalities over time.
Bug fixes
We rarely mention the bugs we've fixed, but we went through an important test and fix round in the last few weeks. Fixes this round relate to:
