Hello - -,
In today’s email, I’d like to help you add filters to eliminate undesired content, find gems from the content firehose, and manage topics efficiently.
What’s so special about filtering with Cronycle?
We, at Cronycle, believe that the information you consumed yesterday should not limit what you’ll get tomorrow. Nor that who you know should limit your access to global knowledge.
So unlike other tools, you remain in control. And it works - our users say it best:

Learn from a sample feed
I recently set up a feed about learning organizations. I thought I’d share it with you as a sample. It took me several iterations to make it valuable, particularly as I’m not trained in HR or educational science. I have used relatively broad topics such as Future of Work (where a lot of the conversation happens). As is often the case, combining several Topics into one feed works best. Then, I added specific keyword filters like employee development, learning organization, lifelong learning, and upskill.

Filter your own feeds
You can duplicate and customize the sample feed or start adding filters to your own feed. A few tips:
1- If you struggle to apply the same filters to several Topics, separate them into two feeds using the duplicate option, and modify each one independently.
2- Use a common keyword in other languages than English to surface content in your language - I saw a German user adding “stadt” to a Smart city feed, and it worked very well.
3- Block domains polluting your feed by clicking on the domain name in the feed card.
4- if your feed is still producing significant volume, you can turn on a filter for top influencers, view only unseen content, show specific content types, filter by date, or even do a full text search. Read out this dedicated tutorial on filtering.
Use freeform search for Topics that don’t exist
If you are monitoring a product, competitor, niche topic, or for a topic in another language than English, use our freeform search (our alternative to Google Alerts). When you create a new feed, simply type the name or expression that should be mentioned in the content. Add the result with the plus button, and repeat the process if you need to (or add more Topics, sources and keyword filters).
We know this is a time investment. Once you’re done, you’ll be amazed at how powerful your feeds have become and how much time you are saving.
