The secret to staying on track.
Hello and welcome back to Declutter Fast

Do you know where your "To Do" list is?

"To Do" lists matter. Even when you don't "check everything off."

Make your "To Do" lists as often as you want.

Here's what I do:

I take the last "To Do" list and I use it to write the next one.

I have "To Do" lists for the day, and for the future...

... and sometimes, for the hour!

Whatever it takes!

Best advice:

Keep all of your "To Do" lists in one location.

What I do is this: I have a spiral notebook just for my "To Do" lists.

I use good old "pen and paper" to write my "To Do" lists, and I make a new list every day.

In your spiral notebook, you can make a section for a "Master" To Do List.

That's the place you write down EVERYTHING you need to do until the end of time!

You can make a simple "Tab" for that section using tape folded to make a tab - so you can find that section quickly when you need it.

I'm not exactly "super high tech"... who needs an "App" when you can fold a piece of scotch tape?

Some of the most successful people are very "low tech" when comes to being organized!

One notable man, marketing wizard Dan Kennedy, keeps a piece of paper in his pocket.

That's what I'm talking about!!

Make that list. It's fun. It's a ritual.

And then start on the list and do one thing on the list.

No matter what happens, the list does you good:

It keeps your goals in your mind, which increases the likelihood that you will do what's on your list.

It keeps you on track and organized.

It helps you prioritize:

When you make your list every day, you see what's most important.

Yes, your "To Do" list is the secret to staying on track - when you make one every day!

But the real secret of To Do lists is to do something on the list - even for five minutes.

Five minutes turns into a little longer.

Don't get discouraged if you don't complete your To Do list. Just do SOMETHING on it.

Or do something else when you're avoiding what's on your To Do list.

For example, your avoidance can lead you to get really busy doing something else that's good.

So go with that urge. Whatever gets something done is what gets something done, and any kind of accomplishment is very, very good.

I am 100% serious about that.

I want to make it easy for you to declutter your home.

Declutter Fast: How To Get Your Home In Order Almost Immediately

P.S. From readers:

I just read my first newsletter. This very day I am going to start on the clothes, towels, etc. Thanks for sparking this eagerness to tackle an almost life-long problem.

Dear Mimi,

I look forward to your newsletter! It's so easy to accumulate "things." Parting with them is another story! Now that everyone has become a "picker," we need to "just say no" sometimes to the cool stuff we come across. We can't and shouldn't keep it all.

Dear Mimi,

You are so Inspirational. You have made me get rid of not only items lying around the house creating chaos, but also negative thoughts. Now I see a clean beautiful home and think positive thoughts.
