Saba Parsa is an SF jam ICON! She releases just 4 seasonal jams a year, meticulously sourcing the best fruit, and they almost always sell out within hours. Our new collab jam with Saba—featuring tart apricots, Kashmiri Saffron, and a hint of Kashmiri Chili—is incredibly special to me. It’s made with a dear friend, made well and made to be delicious! We only have a limited batch available for shipping within the US, so the race to score a jar is on, my friends!
Saba and I first collaborated on two spiced jams back in 2020 and have remained dear friends since! We’re both immigrant female founders (she’s Iranian, I’m Indian) in the Bay Area trying to highlight the deliciousness that amazing agriculture can produce. Last year, as stone fruit season began, we put our heads together to find the perfect pairing of fruit and spice, and apricots with chilli and saffron just felt perfect! At the Mir family farm in Kashmir, the saffron we source is intercropped with apricots, which are also used extensively in Kashmiri cuisine. Saba sourced stunning organic Blenheim apricots, and our jam was born—a bright, vibrant jar that’s proof that what grows together does go together! The fact that saffron and apricots originally came to India from Iran makes this jam an even sweeter nod to Saba’s heritage!

I personally LOVE the jam on lightly-buttered toast in the morning—a great VDay breakfast-in-bed, if you ask me! Back in our Mumbai office, the team layered it over whipped ricotta and topped it with roughly chopped walnuts, a few mint leaves, and freshly-ground Aranya Black Pepper; then scooped it all up on crunchy sesame crackers! I hope you find your own delicious ways to savor that tart, jammy goodness!
