Increase Vitamin D and B12 To Combat Winter Blues


Winter blues (otherwise known by their scientific name, seasonal affective disorder, or SAD) can have you feeling down without really knowing why.

One of the reasons behind the general lack of energy during these times is that the lack of sunlight can throw our circadian rhythm out of whack.

Your body starts to produce more melatonin in response to the lower light, and that means one thing - you feel more tired than usual during the days.

The best way to combat this and make sure you get great sleep during the winter blues is to increase your vitamin D and B intake. You can eat more vitamin-rich foods or take a supplement.

Start upping your vitamins before winter for the best effect!
