I'm writing to tell you about an upcoming change to Upwork's client plans.

Introducing our new client membership plans
Our goal is to help businesses like yours attract and hire top quality talent so you get your projects done successfully through Upwork. In the past, we offered a one-size-fits-all model which didn't cater well to businesses of different sizes using Upwork. With this change, clients now have the option to choose the best membership plan for their business needs.
What is changing?
We are retiring the type of client account that you are currently using.

As part of the new membership plan rollout, the payment processing and administration fee (PPF) will be increasing from 2.75% to 3%.

Choose a new plan
Starting today, June 12, you can choose the best plan for your hiring needs from the four client membership plans: Upwork Basic, Upwork Plus, Upwork Business, or Upwork Enterprise. If no plan has been selected by July 12, 2019, we will automatically move your account to Upwork Basic (don't worry, all your work will be saved).
For your usage, we recommend: Upwork Basic
With Upwork Basic, you will continue to have access to a free plan, and will only pay a 3% payment processing and administration fee on any transactions.

If you'd like to try Upwork Plus, you'll receive your first month of membership for free and get access to an account manager, talent sourcing, a free Featured Job each month, a client badge, and more.

These changes allow us to offer a better, more consistent experience and will make Upwork an even better place for business clients and professional freelancers to work together. I realize these are significant changes, however I believe they'll allow us to deliver a higher level of service and talent in the future.
