Here are a few helpful ways to
reduce stress and limit anxiety:
1. Limit media exposure and stick to reliable sources
It’s tempting to check for updates, but checking several times a day can keep us in an escalated state of anxiety.
Instead, stick to more reliable sources, like the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). And even then, try not to obsessively check for updates every hour (I, myself, have been guilty of this!).
2. Do some guided meditation or breathing exercises!
If you're feeling anxious, tense and worried, consider trying meditation. Spending even a few minutes in meditation can restore your calm and inner peace.
When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day, giving you a little more inner serenity.
3. Drink some hot tea and watch your favorite show or movie
That's right! Curling up with a nice cup of peppermint tea can help. Menthol (a base element of peppermint) is said to be a natural stress-reliever, thus making you feel more relaxed.
4. Take some CBD to help you relax and unwind
CBD has been shown to help reduce stress (click here to see a study). And taking CBD is as easy as eating a CBD gummy or taking some CBD tincture!
