If this year was rock bottom, next year can only get better.

2021 Could be the Best Year Yet
Some of the most promising news to come out of 2020 is from our neighbors to the north in Canada. Canada, as a nation, has committed itself to ridding most of its single-use plastic items by the end of 2021. Even if only a few provinces in Canada upheld this initiative, it would be a huge win for the environment. The fact that the entire country is committing to it is momentous. This move absolutely makes sense for a nation that is seeing the effects of global warming firsthand, considering a quarter of its land is arctic tundra. We can only be grateful for the initiative shown by them, and (hopefully) the U.S. can look to follow suit.
The road doesn’t end here. Canada has been vocal in saying that this isn’t a solution, but a stepping stone to the solution. It’s encouraging to see strides being made towards the larger goal of reducing people’s impact on the planet.
