CHANGES TO TRAVELLING

As of yesterday, 19th July, government guidelines around face coverings and social distancing have changed. It's no longer a legal requirement to wear a face mask but we do recommend wearing one whilst travelling on our trains and in enclosed areas. Our traffic light seating system has been removed, meaning there's more seats to choose from. During busier times, you may find yourself seated next to another passenger.

The safety of our passengers and staff remains our priority so we will continue to have cleaners on board every Hull Trains journey, sanitising high touch points. Find out what to expect on board a Hull Trains service from Monday 19th July.

Face Coverings

As of 19th July, it's no longer a legal requirement to wear a face mask. However, we recommend wearing one whilst travelling on our trains and in enclosed areas as a courtesy to other passengers and staff. We ask for your continued support for those who choose to keep wearing face masks.

More Choice of Seats

We've removed our traffic light seating system so you can choose any vacant seat on board within your class of travel. Capacity will be increased, providing more seats to choose from, and a "counted place" system will remain on board. You may be sat next to another passenger on busier services.

Seat Reservations

We're reintroducing seat reservations from 6th September. You'll be allocated a carriage and seat when making a booking on/after 6th September. Already booked? Find out how to request a reservation here. Until then, a "counted place" system will continue to be in place where passengers are free to choose any seat on board.
