True story: the hashtag #girlsingantrugger started a few years ago in the US when we opened our first GANT Rugger shop at 353 Bleecker St. We discovered that smokin’ hot girls were coming in and buying up all of our small and x-small shirts! They loved the ‘boyfriend’ look and we happily agreed. In fact, we heard several stories of girls stealing their boyfriends’ button-downs because they loved them so much.
Shortly thereafter we did a blog post using #girlsingantrugger and eventually our most dedicated female fans began using the hashtag themselves. And voilà, the #girlsingantrugger movement was born!
Which brings us to Columbine Smille. Her killer style radiates confidence, beauty and strength – even when she’s layered up in an oversized man’s knit sweater. We found her take on style so inspiring that we asked to collaborate with her on a fun photo shoot interpreting her own look for #girlsingantrugger. How did it turn out? Check out the pics, we think they speak for themselves!
"It was obvious Columbine would be the first we reached out to for the #girlsingantrugger story,” added Bastin. ”She loves the stuff, and we love her. The way she put together Gant Rugger with her personal wardrobe pieces turned out exactly the way we expected it - absolutely brilliant.”
Columbine’s photos are a tribute to all #girlsingantrugger worldwide!
