My new pandemic book is coming soon

I’ve spent the last two years working with my colleagues at the Gates Foundation and our partners to stop COVID-19. I’ve learned a lot in the process—both about this pandemic and how we stop the next one—and now I want to share what I’ve heard.

So, I’ve written a book about how we can make sure that no one suffers through the misery of the last two years ever again. It’s called How to Prevent the Next Pandemic, and it includes a step-by-step plan to make COVID-19 the last pandemic, including the lessons we can learn from COVID, the innovations we need to save lives, and the new tools we need to stop pathogens early and equitably. I hope you’ll read it when it comes out in May.

The world isn’t ready for the next pandemic—but we can be if we make the right choices and investments. I’ll have a lot more to say about this in the months ahead. In the meantime, you can find out more about the book (including pre-order information) on the Gates Notes.
