Hey Gent ,

Tim here from Gent Row. I have some great info that will help you keep those feet happy for the next time your shopping for shoes.

Let's face it, we all know that feeling of squeezing into a suit that doesn't fit. How about those size 32 jeans ....yup, been there too!

To me, nothing is worse than the feeling of a shoe that's too tight! Literally, the worse feeling ever.

Once, my feet were hurting so bad that I daydreamed of cutting off the toe box to give my feet the room it needed...... but then thought, no one you work with should ever see your toes... or nipples.

I decided that this could never happen again and overnight I created these rules that I've stuck with ever since.

My Checklist.

AT THEHEEL :This is the one place where your shoe may hurt initially, but fear not. It'll subside. Your heelshould rest comfortably against the back liner without slipping.

AT THEINSTEP :The tongue should rest lightly on the top of your foot, without the feeling of too much pressure.

AT THETOE :Your longest toe should rest about a half inch from the front edge of the toe box. You should be able to wiggle your toes slightly.

AT THEARCH :Extra support is fine here, but the shoe should not rise up so much that pressure is put on your arch.

And now I justGO BESPOKEwhen looking for new shoes.

By going Bespoke, we create a 5 point mold from measurements of your feet!

  • First, well sit you down with your foot in a sock or bare on top of a piece of paper with your shinbone at a slightly forward angle.

  • Next, we trace around your foot with a pencil

  • Then we'll draw parallel lines to mark the outermost points ( width & length ) of your feet

  • Our standard for length will be measured by 1/16 of an inch for accuracy

  • Lastly, we'll identify the larger foot and subtract 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch from the measurement to allow for error

Most people don't know about this process and have a long-term foot injury for improper shoes.

Don't let it happen to you!!
