These three tips may seem like simple steps to take -- and they are simple -- but don't let the simplicity fool you. They are very effective -- and something you can do every day of your life to Master Stress Naturally
Tip 1 - One of the first things to shift when you get stressed out and anxious is your breathing.
Shift the centre of your breathing from high in your chest to your belly. Change your breathing pattern from quick short breaths to longer, rhythmic breathing. Focus on your breath - as you inhale slowly to the count of 5 -- hold your breath for a few counts -- and then exhale slowly to the count of 5 - then hold your breath for a few counts.
Repeat this process for several minutes. You will find that this breathing technique helps calm you down on all levels - mentally, emotionally and physically. Do this exercise as soon as you notice stress in your thoughts, emotions or body. The sooner you breathe deeply the better.
Tip 2 - Most stress and anxiety we experience follows a sequence of mental, emotional and physical sensations. Well established inner patterns that have repeated over and over again when experiencing stress. Becoming aware of these patterns can be helpful in managing your stress -- particularly the very first stages of the sequence of mental and emotional shifts.
Next time you experience a stressful situation -- pay attention to what is happening with your self talk -- what you are saying to yourself -- and pay attention to how you are feeling -- and where in your body you are feeling it. Be aware of what the shape of that feeling is -- and how it changes during the sequence. When you become aware of what’s happening internally -- the automatic conditioned responses which have been programmed over a long period of time begin to lose their power -- and you begin to have more control over your thoughts and emotions. This is an important step in mastering stress and anxiety.
Tip 3 - Take a salt water bath. After a busy stressful day, one of the best things you can do is take a salt water bath. You may experience people and events throughout the day that distort or upset your energy centres or energy field. The salt water dissolves erratic energies that you don’t need or want in your energy field. It helps energetically clean you on all levels.
The salt bath helps you harmonize after it energetically cleans you up. This can make a calming relaxing difference to your sleep and to your overall mental and emotional health.
