1. Get your dog comfortable. Firstly, get your dog comfortable looking at their teeth.

2. Gain their trust. Gradually insert your fingers into their mouth. Once you lift your dog's lip, gently rub the gums and teeth with a finger and then, reward with a treat. Keep this activity short and sweet to start with.

3. Hello toothpaste. Put dog-friendly toothpaste on your finger and let the dog lick it off. Easy!

5. Here comes the toothbrush! Apply toothpaste to the toothbrush and allow your dog to sniff and lick it. Just make sure they don't run off with the toothbrush.

6. Toothbrush and toothpaste, lets go! Brush, reward and play. Start by focusing on one area of the mouth each session. Once your dog is comfortable, you can gradually clean the entire mouth in one go.
