Highland Titles
Greetings Lords, Ladies and Lairds of Glencoe. Your land management team is here to keep you up to date while you are absent from your estate and ask you (as a responsible landowner) to participate in the decision-making that will affect the future of your land.

As you may or may not know, it is the Year of Food & Drink in Scotland, which is why you may notice this newsletter has a bit of a 'foodie' theme. There are a couple of food-related items we would like to discuss with you today. Naturally, as Highland Titles landowners, your opinion is greatly appreciated on all matters to do with the land.
Did you purchase a plot as a gift? Please forward this newsletter to the Lord or Lady if you think they would enjoy it too and encourage them to sign up.

Vote: A veggie patch on the estate for local children?

vegetables Part of our Five-Year Plan for Glencoe Wood is to support, work together with, and in return gain support from local communities surrounding Glencoe Wood. We believe that supporting the local primary schools is a major part of this.

We are considering the option of offering small pieces of the reserve to use as vegetable patches for the local primary schools as part of their educational curriculum.

We would be delighted to welcome primary school classes to the reserve to learn about gardening and the ongoing, sustainable care of plants. At the same time, we'd hope to reinforce the importance of our native environment and conservation of the land.

We'd love to hear your thoughts: would you welcome the idea of creating vegetable patches for local primary schools to use?

A Highland Titles herbal tea in the making

Highland Titles herbal tea
Reserve warden Stewart recently met with Cindy Ledgerwood from Miss IntegriTea, a Scottish medicinal herbalist who blends tasty and invigorating teas from all sorts of interesting ingredients. We invited Cindy up to the Highland Titles Nature Reserve where she and Stewart wandered through the estate looking for likely spots where edible and healthful herbs might grow.

Stewart and Cindy discovered a number of ingredients on the estate which could be used to create an interesting tea blend. Find out what ingredients they found on the estate and let us know what you think. Would you be interested in trying a tea inspired by the Highland Titles Nature Reserve?

Introducing our first 'litter' of species profiles

animal species on the estate The species that inhabit the Highland Titles Nature Reserve are very important to us. They are positive evidence that our conservation work on the land is having the impact we want!

We love learning about what these wonderful creatures get up to on the estate, and by the looks of Facebook and your interactions with our spycam videos, so do you!

We've put together a 'litter' of species' profiles with the aim of eventually including all species that call the Highland Titles estate home. So if you're as fascinated by red foxes, badgers, robins and otters as we are, have a read!!
