See the sights and hear what life was like in the Royal Navy during the First World War, onboard the Dockyard’s ‘Lucky Ship’ HMS M.33. One of five ships of its kind built in seven weeks, M.33 first saw action in the Dardanelles during the Gallipoli campaign. It was here it earned its nickname the ‘Lucky Ship’ because it survived the campaign without losing a crew member. Experience M.33’s close living quarters and discover a range of interactive displays that bring the history of the ship and the story of its crew to life.

Our friends at The Novium Museum invite you to step back into the vibrant 1980s with I Grew Up 80s! Opening on 7 December, this nostalgic exhibition offers a colourful journey through the decade from a child’s perspective.
Explore over 200 items, from Care Bears and My Little Pony, to albums from icons like Queen and Kate Bush. Enjoy interactive highlights including 80s dress-up, classic games, and a vintage Donkey Kong arcade machine! Launching with a “Celebration of the 1980s” event, the exhibition runs until 8 June, 2025.
