It’s our 60th Birthday this May
and we want to invite you to the celebrations!
Join us over May half term for a birthday bash to celebrate the big 6-0! Whether you have been visiting for years or the museum is your newest find we want to welcome you for some fun events that everyone can enjoy.
Discover the museum and see our historic aircraft, make your own aircraft out of balloons or build one of our historic planes out of bricks. You can also delve into the museum’s history with our newest digital exhibition on the Collections Explorer app. So grab your wingman and get ready to experience the Fleet Air Arm Museum this May half term.
You can’t have a birthday party without balloons. Join balloon artist extraordinaire David Croft to discover a giant balloon Concorde. After you can make your own balloon aircraft to take home.
Join the museum’s Principal Conservator of Naval Aircraft Dave Morris on an enlightening two-hour tour as you find out about the incredible conservation and restoration work that goes on behind the scenes.
Due to a limited capacity of ten people per tour, pre-booking is essential. Entry to the museum for the day is included with your ticket.
