This week I had a fantastic opportunity to spend a few days in Kansas and hear people’s concerns about healthcare, the trade war with China, and other issues that matter to Heartland Americans.
In Topeka, I visited Brown vs. Board of Education National Historic Site, which honors a crucial chapter in our fight against racism. We met with people who were just kids when the Supreme Court ended legal segregation in public schools. Our visit was a reminder of the courage it takes to do what’s right.
I’ll continue to listen. For me, each conversation is a chance to learn more about what matters to you. These are complex times, but I’m inspired.
Next up: spending the day in St. Louis. Let’s keep talking!
With gratitude,
Howard
